Family Owl Prowl

Description

In January, local owls can be heard calling to claim territory and communicating with their mates.

Start indoors with a close look at the owls that live around Wachusett Meadow. Listen to a story and find out what owls eat, how they hunt, and where they live. Compare your wingspan to an owl's wingspan and see how you measure up. Then head out on a short hike after sunset to listen for owl calls along with whatever other nighttime wildlife is stirring. You'll learn how to identify some owl calls and find out what owls and other nocturnal animals need to survive here.

Come find out whooo is out there.

Checking registration status.
