Description
As November settles in, Wachusett Meadow's trails reveal a landscape in transition, with bare branches, quiet meadows, and the first signs of a world getting ready for winter. On this family hike, a naturalist leads you through the sanctuary to discover how plants and animals adapt when temperatures drop and resources grow scarce. From the strategies animals use to stay warm and fed to the ways plants protect themselves underground, this walk reveals the quiet resilience of the natural world.
