Description
The annual migration of frogs and salamanders to their breeding grounds is a fascinating natural event, but habitat fragmentation and road traffic can make this a dangerous journey for them. Vernal pools are small, temporary ponds that provide essential breeding habitats for many species, and these delicate water bodies also need our care and protection. Walk to visit some of our sanctuary's vernal pools, look for local frogs and salamanders, and learn how you can help protect them.
