A Nature Year at Stony Brook: Spring

Description

Three sessions, three distinct chapters of spring phenomena at Stony Brook Wildlife Sanctuary.

March opens with the signs of a landscape preparing for spring; April brings the ecology of vernal pools at their busiest; and May closes with spring wildflowers, emerging insects, and bird migration at its peak.

Each session begins inside with a short introduction before you head out for at least 90 minutes of active exploration on the sanctuary's trails and boardwalks.

Checking registration status.
