Description
Not every animal sticks around for winter, but the ones that do have remarkable tricks for adapting to the elements.
On this winter walk, little naturalists will create a take-home craft about wintering animals and then head out on a walk to find good hibernating spots around the sanctuary. Discover which Massachusetts animals are the true hibernators, what hibernation looks like, and why some creatures choose a long winter nap while others brave the cold.
Every Tiny Trekkers program connects young learners to the natural world, building the curiosity and care that grows into a lifetime of environmental stewardship.
