Description
Can you find leaves from oaks, maples, birch, and beyond? On this fall walk at Stony Brook, little naturalists discover why leaves change color and head out on the trails for a leaf scavenger hunt, collecting different shapes, sizes, and shades along the way. Back inside, everyone creates a take-home leaf rubbing craft to show off what they found.
Every Tiny Trekkers program connects young learners to the natural world, building the curiosity and care that grows into a lifetime of environmental stewardship.
