Description
Three sessions, three chapters of fall at Stony Brook Wildlife Sanctuary.
September opens with butterflies, moths, and the plants that sustain them through their life cycles; October brings the double spectacle of bird and Monarch migration at its peak; November turns to the richness of fall color and the mushrooms emerging from the forest floor.
Each session begins inside with a short introduction before heading out for at least 90 minutes of active exploration on the sanctuary's trails and boardwalks. This fall series stands on its own or serves as the entry point into the full 12-month A Nature Year series.
