Description
Crepuscular: a mysterious word to describe an enchanting time of day. As daylight fades at Stony Brook Wildlife Sanctuary, an entirely different cast of animals takes the stage. Bats lift off, moths emerge, beavers glide out onto the water, and foxes and raccoons begin their nightly rounds.
On this twilight family walk, search the trails for animals and their signs as the light shifts, with a special focus on Stony Brook's active beaver colony and the remarkable way beavers shape the wetland landscape around them.
