Description
In this half-day trip, take a deep dive into a group of birds that can be overwhelming for many beginners: waterfowl, which includes ducks and geese. Learn about the waterfowl of the Berkshires and demystify their identification while practicing your skills in the field. After meeting at Pleasant Valley Wildlife Sanctuary, we will form a carpooling or caravaning group to look for waterfowl at multiple locations in the area.
This program involves standing but minimal walking. Most of the distance covered is via driving to a handful of local destination in southern and central Berkshire County. Spotting scopes are provided, and loaner pairs of binoculars may be available.
