Description
Whether you've never been on a bird walk before or are a beginner looking for tips to improve your skills, Pleasant Valley is a great place to enjoy the hobby of birdwatching. The mix of forests, meadows and wetlands offer excellent places to watch birds as they prepare for the winter or move through the area on their journey south.
After a short indoor presentation, we will practice birding as we move slowly down the universally accessible Pike's Pond All Persons Trail. Bring your own binoculars or borrow one of our loaner pairs.
This program welcomes participants of all abilities and will take place exclusively on a level or gently sloping trail surfaced with crushed stone. We will cover less than 0.5 miles of distance. Benches are spaced at regular intervals along the trail. An all-terrain Freedom Chair and Rollator are available to borrow; call ahead if you would like to reserve.
