LGBTQ+ Pride Paddle on the Housatonic River

Description

Mass Audubon has teamed up with Queer Men of the Berkshires (Q-MoB) and the Housatonic Valley Association to lead a guided canoe trip on the Housatonic River near Wood's Pond. Open to members of the LGBTQ+ community and their families, this beginner-friendly paddle will pass through areas where beavers have been active. Guides from Mass Audubon and Housatonic Valley Association will share basic paddling skills and information about the nature of the Housatonic River watershed.

Children must be at least 10 years old and know how to swim. The paddling route has no major obstacles or strong currents, making it ideal for beginners. Please plan on leisurely paddling for about two hours.
