Description
On March evenings, male American Woodcocks turn wet meadows into a runway performing their iconic ritual dance during the peak of their courtship
Just after sunset these unique birds spiral high into the darkening sky and tumble back down, putting on one of early spring's great performances. Your naturalist will start with the natural history behind their odd shape and stranger sounds, then take you into the field to watch and listen for the display. You will also learn what woodcocks need to breed successfully and how you can help them closer to home.
