A Nature Year at Pleasant Valley

Description

Deepen your connection to the seasons on monthly weekend adventures with a skilled Mass Audubon naturalist and a curious community of adults.

This twelve-part series follows local natural history across a full year, with every month built around what's currently happening outdoors. Sessions open with an introduction before heading out for extended time in the field. Topics may shift with what nature provides, keeping your experience tied to the season.

You will grow your natural history knowledge, sharpen your observation skills, and leave with new ways to notice and care for the habitats that make the Berkshires special.

What To Expect

Each session opens with an indoor introduction and then moves outside for at least 90 minutes in the field. You will travel mainly on trails and boardwalks while actively exploring habitats and seasonal highlights, so plan for extended time outdoors.

Start times shift through the year to match each month's subject, including evening sessions in April, June, and September, and an early morning session in May. Check your dates and times carefully when you register.

More details on what to bring and expect will be emailed to you ahead of the program.
