See fall color from a fresh angle—gliding quietly across the water with wide views of the shoreline and nearby hills of October Mountain State Forest. This beginner-friendly canoe trip pairs a scenic 'leaf-peeping' experience with chances to spot active morning wildlife. During the paddle, your naturalist will share how protected lands like this support wildlife habitat, connectivity, and shared conservation goals.

You will receive an email the day before the program with more information on the meeting location as well as updates on weather, river flow, or other conditions that could affect your program.
Bring a water bottle, sunscreen, insect repellent, warm layers, and footwear that can get wet such as water shoes; snacks and a dry bag or zip bag for valuables are optional. Mass Audubon policy requires that every participant wears a life vest during the program; you may borrow one from us or bring your own.
