Description
Pleasant Valley's mix of forests, meadows, and wetlands creates one of the best spots in the Berkshires to begin birding, especially during fall migration when a new cast of species pass through on their way south. After a short indoor introduction, you'll head outside for a relaxed walk along the Pike's Pond All Persons Trail, practicing bird-finding skills and learning simple identification cues with a patient, experienced naturalist.
The walk takes place entirely on this level, accessible trail and covers less than half a mile, with benches along the way. Learn practical ways to support birds during this critical migration season and find out how protected lands like Pleasant Valley help make their journey possible.
