Description
Bats are one of summer's most helpful—and most misunderstood—mammals. Start with a short indoor introduction that debunks common myths and explains what bats need to thrive, then head outside just after sunset to look and listen for bats during seasonal migration.
Depending on conditions, your naturalist may use a bat-detecting tool to help reveal activity you can't hear on your own. This session takes place entirely on Pleasant Valley's All Persons Trail, making it a comfortable, stroller-friendly option for families looking for an accessible evening nature experience.
This program will take place exclusively on the Pike's Pond All Persons Trail, covering less than 0.8 miles on a wide, flat, gravel-paved trail.
