Homeschool at Oak Knoll - Ages 4.5 - 6

Description

Join Oak Knoll naturalists for a fun-filled 7-month (14-session) series for the 4.5-6 y/o homeschool community.

Our 4.5 - 6-year-olds explore monthly themes like: 'Changes in Nature', 'Animal Classification', and 'The Water Cycle'.

Each class is 3 hours long and meets in small groups, with other students of similar age, all while learning science outside in nature at the Wildlife Sanctuary. Classes happen mostly outdoors and have indoor access to bathrooms.

This program is designed to keep students safe with small 'pods' sizes of students. Please be prepared for all types of weather and hiking conditions, programs run rain or shine.

Please note that Health History, Emergency, and Release forms are required for all participants to attend. Once you register successfully, you will receive a link to the forms.

Program Drop-Off/Pick-Up: Pull into the parking lot and meet the staff at the gate at the back of the lot for check-in. Parents are welcome to walk students to the barn and can then either go for their own walk on the sanctuary (separate from the group), or leave and come back for pick-up.

Oak Knoll Homeschool is a drop-off program. Families are able to go for a walk on the sanctuary if they wish, but they cannot follow along with the pod of children during the class time. Only trained and approved staff work with the groups of students.

Please be prepared for all types of weather and hiking conditions, programs run rain or shine. Classes are delivered mainly outdoors (inside Nature Center if needed), with indoor access to bathrooms.

Children are encouraged to bring bottled water and a snack for themselves if they wish.
