Description
As the sun sets and the sky grows dark, join us for a fun and family-friendly adventure to learn all about owls! We'll start at the visitor center, where kids and adults can see and touch real owl wings, feathers, skulls, and talons. Find out how these amazing birds are built for life in the dark and what makes them such clever nighttime hunters.
Learn some simple tips for spotting and listening for owls in the wild before heading into the fields and forests to search for our local owl neighbors like the Barred Owl, Great Horned Owl, and the tiny Eastern Screech-Owl. Bring your curiosity (and a flashlight!) for a magical evening under the stars.
Be prepared for an outdoor hike along wooded trails for approximately 2 miles. These paths will be mostly flat but may be uneven with roots, puddles, and mud.
