Description
All aboard! We are loading up the van and heading out to local hotspots across the South Shore, finding birds from the comfort of a shared vehicle and stopping now and then for short, level-ground looks at whatever has caught everyone's eye.
Sea ducks run the shoreline in January. Search the water for Harlequin Ducks, Red-breasted Mergansers, and Long-tailed Ducks riding the winter swell.
A naturalist guide points out species and shares identification tips as the landscape rolls by. Birders of every experience level are welcome. This is a sociable, accessible way to explore bird life without the hike.

What To Expect
The program travels by van to local birding destinations, with occasional short walks on level ground if something interesting turns up nearby. Most of the time is spent in the vehicle.
