Description
North River Wildlife Sanctuary in spring is full of things worth paying attention to, and this three-month series gives you the chance to explore the wonders of the season.
Each month, a skilled Mass Audubon naturalist focuses on one seasonal topic. March brings the dusk courtship flights of American Woodcocks, April turns to the geology of the North River, and May finishes with spring ephemerals and ferns.
Each session begins indoors with a brief introduction before heading out for at least 90 minutes on the sanctuary's trails, building natural history knowledge alongside a community of curious adult learners. This is a wonderful way to deepen your connection to this landscape.

Sessions travel mainly on trails and boardwalks through a range of habitats, beginning indoors before heading out for at least 90 minutes. The March session runs from late afternoon into the evening; the April and May sessions meet in the afternoon.
