Owl Prowl

Description

Step into the winter woods and discover the secret lives of owls. Walk the trails at North River with a naturalist, searching for the birds that hunt these fields and forests after dark.

Learn about the adaptations that make owls such skilled hunters, explore the habitats they depend on, and listen for the calls of Eastern Screech-Owls, Great Horned Owls, and Barred Owls carrying through the trees. Sightings are never guaranteed, but the sanctuary's mix of forest, field, and wetland makes every prowl a little different.

You will come away with a deeper appreciation for these birds and for the winter landscape they call home.

Checking registration status.
