Winter brings cold temperatures, long nights, and snow—but animals have incredible strategies for surviving and thriving through the winter.
In this homeschool program, young naturalists and their caregiver explore the three main ways animals prepare for winter: hibernation, migration, and food storage, before heading outside to see which local species use each strategy and why. Connect classroom science to the living world right outside your door.
Small group sizes mean plenty of time for close observations and questions—curiosity is the only prerequisite.
