A Birding Year at North River: Winter (3 months)

Description

Winter is one of the most rewarding times to be a birder on the South Shore. Meeting on second Fridays at North River Wildlife Sanctuary, a Mass Audubon naturalist guides you through woodpeckers and nuthatches in December, bird art and sketching in January, and corvids in February.

Each session begins with a brief introduction before heading into the field, building identification skills and habitat knowledge alongside a community of fellow birders. It's an ideal entry point into a full year of birding at North River.
