Birding by Van

Description

All aboard! We're loading up the van and heading out to local hotspots across the South Shore, finding birds from the comfort of a shared vehicle while stopping occasionally for short, level-ground looks at whatever has caught everyone's eye.

A naturalist guide points out species and shares identification tips as the landscape rolls by. Although hawk migration is behind us, some raptors decide to take up residency on the South Shore as they make their way south along the coast. Search the skies above grasslands for Red-tailed Hawks, Northern Harriers, and perhaps even Peregrine Falcons who have decided to spend the winter.

With sessions every month, this program welcomes nature lovers of all experience levels for a genuinely fun, sociable, and accessible way to explore bird life.
