Description
August is prime Monarch time at North River, where late-season native flowers draw these iconic butterflies in remarkable numbers. On this guided family walk, search the sanctuary for Monarchs at every life stage—eggs, caterpillars, chrysalises, and adults—and learn about the remarkable migration ahead of them.
If Monarchs are found and conditions allow, there may even be an opportunity to participate in monarch tagging, contributing directly to community science efforts that track the species' journey to Mexico.
