Birding by Van

Description

All aboard. We're loading up the van and heading out to local hotspots across the South Shore, finding birds from the comfort of a shared vehicle while stopping occasionally for short, level-ground looks at whatever has caught everyone's eye.

A naturalist guide leads each outing, pointing out species and sharing identification tips as the landscape rolls by. September delivers exceptional birding, featuring fall shorebird migration with Black-bellied Plovers, Dunlin, Semi-palmated Sandpipers, and more. The month also brings strong hawk migration, as many raptor species move south along the coast.

With sessions every month, this program welcomes nature lovers of all experience levels for a genuinely fun, sociable, and accessible way to explore bird life.
