Description
Flat Rock Wildlife Sanctuary is part of a large, connected network of protected land that supports some of the most charismatic wildlife in Central Massachusetts. Plus, it's only minutes from downtown Fitchburg and reachable by bus.
Fisher, coyote, and Red Fox are regular residents, with bobcat and Black Bear occasionally passing through as well. On this guided family walk, a Wachusett Meadow naturalist leads you through the birdsong and early fall landscape while watching for signs of these larger animals and pointing out the seasonal changes taking shape in the trees and understory.
