Description
For over 45 years, Moose Hill has celebrated one of New England's sweetest traditions, and now it's your turn to experience it firsthand.
This 90-minute guided tour takes you through the complete journey from tree to table. You'll discover how we sustainably manage our Sugar Maples to keep them thriving year after year. Watch as demonstrators showcase the evolution of maple sugaring, from historical techniques passed down through generations to the modern methods used today.
The tour culminates at our working sugar house, where the air is thick with steam and the scent of boiling sap. Here, you'll witness the final transformation and taste pure New England maple syrup, nothing added, nothing artificial, just the concentrated sweetness of the forest.
Come see why this tradition has captivated our community for nearly half a century. The maples are calling!

Our Maple Sugaring Weekends are a fundraising event for Moose Hill. Your ticket price provides critical support for our education and conservation programs and is nonrefundable. We run rain, light snow, or shine. Dress for the weather; good boots are a must as trails may be muddy, snowy, slightly icy, or dry.
During this event, trails to the boardwalk, bluffs, and fire tower are closed to non-event visitors; however, the rest of our trail system is open for general visitation. We thank you for your support!
