Description
The American Woodcock's intricate courtship ritual is a unique experience that showcases the impressive aerial acrobatics that birds are capable of. A flurry of feather-produced sounds, amazing spirals to invisible heights, and zig-zagging descents are repeated over and over again at dusk, to the delight of onlookers. This online presentation will introduce you to the woodcock, its unique adaptations and life cycle, and the courtship dance it's famous for. Discover when and where to look for woodcocks to witness their displays in-person this spring.
