Description
If you've ever been confused by birdsong outside your window or in the field, this Birdwatching Basics session is for you. Learn how, why, and most importantly, which birds are singing. Learn about vocalizations, the differences between songs and calls, and how to decipher what you hear now and in the coming months. Come away with the skills to decipher the cacophony of spring calls and gain tools for identifying new and unusual songs.
This standalone program is part of the online Birdwatching Basics Series. Register for the full series before March 31 to get all four sessions (March 31: Fundamentals of Birdwatching, April 7: Spring Bird Activity, April 14: Interpreting Bird Behavior, April 21: Birdsong 101) for the price of three.
