Description
Do you notice birds around you? Perhaps your ears have started picking up different bird calls in your backyard, or you've begun to notice different birds in certain parts of your commute to work.
This online series will introduce you to birdwatching basics and essential skills to fully appreciate the birds around you. Learn about basic bird biology and behavior; find out what makes birds unique in the animal kingdom; and discover where and how to find birds in urban, suburban, and rural areas. Guided by leading experts at Mass Audubon, join one of the fastest growing hobbies in North America: birding!
This online series includes optional, self-directed birdwatching exercises in between topics each week.
Each Birdwatching Basics session stands alone, but if you register for the full series before March 31, you get all four sessions for the price of three.
- Tuesday, March 31: Fundamentals of Birdwatching
