Owls of Massachusetts Series

Description

The striking physical appearance, amazing adaptations, and unique behaviors of owls have inspired centuries of mystery and legend across cultures. Populating all but one continent, owls are often beginner birders' entry point to the fascinating lives of birds and the nocturnal world. Learn about the owl species found in Massachusetts, their significance in local habitats, and how researchers are studying and protecting owls. Discover the best times, locations, and methods for observing owls, and how to identify them by sight and sound. We'll cover local owl banding, research, and conservation efforts, and meet a Mass Audubon owl wildlife ambassador virtually.

Each Owls of Massachusetts session stands alone, but if you register for the full series before January 20, you get three sessions at a discounted price.
