Description
Why do some birds end up in unexpected places? Learn the basics of migration, and the challenges faced by first-year young making these journeys for the first time. Explore why birds sometimes end up off course, and if and how they can get back on track. Meet the species that are 'regular rarities' in Massachusetts each fall, and some of the 'mega rarities' that birdwatchers find so exciting.
Meet your presenters: Kathy Seymour is a bird and nature lover who has been leading bird trips, teaching classes, and conducting bird banding research at Drumlin Farm for over 15 years. Jane Sender is an avid birder who enjoys teaching others about birds and co-leading bird trips with Kathy for Drumlin Farm.
