Description
Join us for an in-depth look at the Northeast's smallest owl species, the Northern Saw-whet Owl. A year-round New England resident, this elusive species often avoids detection due to its small size and nocturnal habits. Kathy Seymour, a Mass Audubon birding trip leader and owl bander will share her observations from 15 years banding saw-whet owls in Eastern Massachusetts. Kathy will also share her best owling tips.
This program is part of the 4-session online Birds of Summer Series. Each session stands alone, but if you register for the full series before it starts on 7/18/24 you get all 4 sessions for the price of 3. If you would like to join the full series after it starts and receive recordings of the session(s) you missed, email [email protected] and we will assist you with registration.
