Warblers & Woodlands

Description

More than 30 warbler species pass through Massachusetts during spring migration, with more than 20 breeding here. With bright, cheerful plumage, they are the highlight of spring birding trips. However, identification can be challenging due to the sheer number of plumage patterns and fleeting glances, often of their undersides. This program will cover warbler habitat preferences and marathon migration routes, introduce a logical framework for ID, offer tips on making the most of limited views, and suggest the best places for viewing them.
