Birdwatching Basics Series

Description

Do you notice the birds around you? Perhaps your ears have started picking up different calls in your backyard, or you have begun to spot different birds along parts of your commute.

Taught by Mass Audubon's leading ornithology experts, this series introduces birdwatching basics and the skills that let you fully appreciate the feathered creatures all around us: bird biology and behavior, what makes birds unique in the animal kingdom, and where and how to find them in urban, suburban, and rural areas. You will also get optional, self-directed birdwatching exercises to try between topics each week.

Each session stands alone, but if you register for the full series before it begins, you get all four sessions for the price of three.
