Description
The striking looks, remarkable adaptations, and unusual behaviors of owls have inspired mystery and legend across century and culture. Found on all but one continent, owls are often a beginning birder's entry point into the fascinating lives of birds and the nocturnal world.
In this series, explore the owl species found in Massachusetts, their place in local habitats, and the best times, locations, and methods for observing and identifying them by sight and sound. Learn how researchers band, track, and protect owls, and experience a virtual meeting with a live Mass Audubon owl wildlife ambassador.
Each session stands alone, but if you register for the full series before it begins, you get all four sessions for the price of three.
