Discover Penikese, a rugged 75 acre island at the far end of the Elizabeth Islands, and explore its storied past - from the former Hansen's Disease colony to the Anderson School of Natural History - while observing the thriving Common Tern and gull colonies that define its wild character. Beginning and ending with a privately chartered boat ride past the scenic Elizabeth Islands, enjoy learning about the rich history of this unique coastal chain. Search for shorebirds, delve into the island's remarkable natural and human history, and end the day beneath a spectacular full moon rise over Buzzards Bay.

Space is limited. A nonrefundable, nontransferable deposit of $175 per person must accompany registration. Final payment is due July 7, 2026.
Fee includes one-night accommodations, most meals, round-trip boat transportation, boat launch parking, interpretive materials, and field instruction. Participants are responsible for Saturday's lunch, snacks, tips, and personal items.
