Birds of Massachusetts Series

Description

Take advantage of some of Massachusetts birds' busiest seasons with this six-part deep dive into our favorite feathered friends. As the days warm, sweet birdsong melodies drift through newly open windows, and dozens of warbler species splash bright color across our skies and trees. Breeding season begins in earnest, with the appearance of elaborate nests, curious material-gathering behavior, and courtship rituals. Long-distance migratory species arrive on our coastlines, insectivorous Nighthawks swoop and dive at dusk, and September brings ideal opportunities to observe a variety of hawk species as they migrate south. Learn about these seasonal phenomena and find out where, when, and how to identify birds during the dynamic spring and summer seasons.

Each Birds of Massachusetts session stands alone, but if you register for the full series before it starts on April 21, you get all 6 sessions for the price of 5. Recordings will be sent to registrants after each program.
