Description
A patch of milkweed in summer is a vibrant and busy environment unto itself. The aroma of its fragrant flowers wafts on the breeze, enticing beetles to climb its stems and monarch caterpillars to chomp on its leaves. With all that life buzzing about, it might surprise you to learn that milkweed's chemistry is actually toxic. Discover the adaptations that several insect species have developed to survive and thrive on this otherwise poisonous plant.
Each Nature of Massachusetts session stands alone, but if you register for the full series before it starts on April 16, you get all 6 sessions for the price of 5. Recordings will be sent to registrants after each program.
