Fire Skills & Outdoor Cooking

Description

Ignite and kindle your outdoor survival skills as we construct a fire and learn how to safely engage with this dynamic element of nature. You'll get hands-on experience gathering materials, safely starting, tending and extinguishing fire, as well as Leave No Trace methods and outdoor cooking. Then, we’ll test out our new skills by cooking up some fireside treats!

Instructions

Wear appropriate clothing for the weather including warm layers and sturdy footwear. Bring a water bottle and your own treats to heat. We will also provide pastry dough to make biscuits on a stick.

We will use designated grills in the park to hold the fires. Parking is available but limited, so please avoid driving if possible.
