Spring Equinox Bird Walk

Description

As winter officially gives way to spring, head out to look for the unique combination of birds overlapping at the cusp of the season.

A naturalist will help you pick out early spring arrivals like Red-winged Blackbirds; resident birds already singing and pairing up like Northern Mockingbirds; and winter visitors still lingering in the park like Dark-eyed Juncos. Magazine Beach Park's location along the Charles River makes it a reliable stopover for birds on the move and an oasis in the city for the ones that stay to raise their young here. All experience levels are welcome.
