Winter Arrivals Bird Walk

Description

For many bird species from the boreal north, Massachusetts is the destination for a 'warm' winter vacation. On this guided walk, search for and learn to identify birds that have traveled south to spend the cold months at Magazine Beach Park, including Purple Finches, Golden-crowned Kinglets, and Fox Sparrows arriving from Canada.

Keep an eye on the sky for a local regular, too: the Peregrine Falcons that nest nearby make appearances over the park throughout the year. All experience levels welcome.

Checking registration status.
