Summer Bird Walk: Breeding Season into Fall Migration

Description

Two seasons overlap at Magazine Beach Park in August as the last of summer's breeding birds share the landscape with the first wave of fall migrants. On a guided walk through the park, look for summer regulars like Great Blue Herons, Yellow Warblers, Baltimore Orioles, and Ospreys, while scanning for early southbound travelers like Northern Waterthrush making their first moves of the season.

The park's position along the Charles River makes it a reliable stopover for birds on the move and provides an oasis for year-round residents to raise their young. Birders of all experience levels are welcome!
