No car? No problem! Hop on the Orange Line to explore Forest Hills Cemetery, one of Boston's most unexpected and underrated wildlife habitats. Beginning at the Forest Hills T-stop, explore the ecologically rich grounds of the cemetery, where birds, pollinators, and turtles make their homes in a landscape shaped by human design.
Guided by a naturalist, you'll learn how urban wildlife adapts and thrives in shared spaces, and what it reveals about the resilience of nature in the city. See public transportation as a pathway to discovery and develop a deeper sense of belonging with the environments we pass by every day.

Meet at the Forest Hills T-stop off the MBTA Orange Line. Please wear weather-appropriate clothing and comfortable shoes. The walk covers approximately one mile on flat terrain. We recommend bringing a water bottle, binoculars, sunscreen, and bug spray.
