Description
No car? No problem! The Red Line drops you off right at the edge of one of the most ecologically important urban wetlands in the region, yet most people ride right past it. Starting from the Alewife T-stop, venture into Alewife Brook Reservation with a naturalist guide to explore how this restored habitat is bringing wildlife back into the city while providing critical ecosystem services like flood control and water filtration.
Discover what it takes to bring a degraded landscape back to life, and why places like this matter for both people and wildlife. See public transportation as a pathway to discovery and develop a deeper sense of belonging with the environments we pass by every day.
