Description
Nearly 50 bird species nest at Magazine Beach Park every year, and July is the perfect time to catch them in action. In the summer, avian parents and juveniles are out in the open, fledglings are testing their wings, and the park hums with activity even after migrating birds have passed through.
Watch for the brilliant plumage of Warbling Vireos, Baltimore Orioles, and Cedar Waxwings, and keep an eye on the sky for the park's resident Peregrine Falcons who nest nearby. Look closely and find out how different species rely on this nature oasis in the heart of the city.
