Spring Migration Bird Walk

Description

May is the peak of spring migration, and Magazine Beach Park's greenspace offers an urban oasis along the Charles River for migrating and resident birds alike. Take a stroll to look for colorful spring migrants like American Redstart, Black-throated Green warblers, and Least Flycatchers, as well as nesting species like Northern Yellow Warbler and our resident Peregrine Falcon pair. Watch for raptors like Osprey overhead and waders like Black-crowned Night-Heron along the river. Over 130 species have been recorded at the park in the month of May!
