Description
Spring begins in the buds! Get to the root of how trees awaken as winter melts away, focusing on bud structure, branching patterns, and early flowering species. Take a guided walk around the park to examine Pussy Willows and maples with their fuzzy buds and catkins that mark some of the first signs of spring, all while sharpening your ID skills and deepening your knowledge of urban ecology.

Meet at the nature center. Please wear comfortable walking shoes, bring a water bottle, and dress appropriately for the weather. There will be bathrooms available. Parking is available but limited, so please avoid driving if possible.
