Description
Celebrate the lengthening days of early spring by creating a nature-inspired ceramic lantern. Using slab-building techniques, you'll design and hand-build a lantern that reflects the season’s emerging beauty, unfolding leaves, new growth, and bird song. You will build lantern structure and sketch your cut-out design inspired by spring. You will sculpt patterns, add surface texture or decoration, underglaze, and prepare your piece for firing. You’ll finish with one functional lantern that brings a warm, welcoming glow to your home as spring returns.
